Whether you are shopping for your first robot vacuum or if you are just looking to upgrade or add a second model, Eufy and Roomba are 2 models you’ll probably come to recognize.

Roomba is obviously the most well-know brand when looking at robot vacuums. They are kind of the pioneers when it comes to robot vacuums.

Eufy is more of a newcomer in the market, thought they have been around for several years and have a decent lineup or robot vacuums, themselves.

If you are looking for great value, Eufy might be worth a good hard look. If you want confirmed quality and more technology and advanced options, then Roomba is almost always going to be the best choice.

Better Suction – Eufy Or Roomba?

When it comes to straight suction and cleaning performance the Roomba is going to win almost every time, regardless of the model.

There are several Eufy models that do very well when it comes to suction, but the best one doesn’t beat the best Roomba counterpart.

My recommendation for the best suction for Eufy is the RoboVac G30. The G30 has a suction score of 2000 Pa, which is very powerful.

For Roomba, I’d go with the s9+, which boasts a suction power of 2500 PA. There isn’t a hugely noticeable different between 2000 and 2500, but the Roomba still cleans better overall.

The other huge advantage of getting the iRobot s9+ over the Eufy is that you get that self-emptying feature. This is by far one of my favorite features on any robot vacuum. The s9+ also has a better app, which allows for better mapping and virtual barriers.

Eufy G30 Vs. iRobot s9+

Let’s look a little closer at these top-of-the-line models to see which one is the better buy.

There is no question that you’ll spend less money on the Eufy, but does that mean it is the better value?

eufy g30 review

The G30 comes in 3 different models to select from.

RoboVac G30 – This is the standard version of the Eufy G30.

RoboVac G30 Edge – The “Edge” refers to the fact that this model adds virtual boundaries to the vacuum’s capabilities.

RoboVac G30 Hybrid – The hybrid models adds a mopping featuring, making the G30 a 2-in-1 one robot.

If I were to buy one of the G30 models, I would probably go with the G30 Edge. I just think that the added virtual boundaries makes this model far and beyond the best option. I personally don’t have the need for a vacuum and mop combo, so that isn’t really a model I consider. But, if you don’t already have a robot mop, then that might be a great pick for your home.

The G30 standard is a decent value as it really does comes with solid cleaning performance. It also comes with a fairly adequate dustbin. You also get the ability to dock and recharge with all models, vastly improving the overall runtime of the robot vacuum.

Eufy RoboVac G30 Pricing

The pricing for the Eufy models is very reasonable. They start at around $200 for the G30 Standard model and then bump up to about $230 for the G30 Edge. Finally, you top at just around $255 for the G30 Hybrid. That is a good price for a all-in-one robot.

iRobot Rooma i9+

The iRobot Roomba s9+ is the best robot vacuum you can currently get, in my opinion, and it is the top of the line Roomba model.

Not only does it boast a power 2500 PA in suction, it also comes with sophisticated navigation and mapping, an impressive map with digital barriers, and the popular self-emptying dust bin.

The s9+ also have the ability to sync up with the Braava M6 robot mop from iRobot. The 2 robots will work in tandem to vacuum and mop your floor at the same time. I have to admit, it is very cool to experience.

Roomba s9+ Pricing

The cost of the iRobot s9+ is really the only con I can find about this robot vacuum. The s9+ is going to set you back around $1000. That is pretty expensive, but, again, you are getting the best model from Roomba – A model that can empty its own dust bin. I see great value in that feature.

Best Budget Option

When it comes to a budget Roomba, there are only a few options to pick from. My recommendation would be the Roomba 675, which is one of the original models from iRobot. Even though it might be slightly dated, it still boasts strong cleaning power, great app connectivity, and other solid features for a robot vacuum.

You should be able to find a Roomba 675 for under $300. Although, it is harder and harder to find new models now days, since they are slightly older than most models from iRobot.

Read my full review on the Roomba 675 here.

Eufy has a lot more options when it comes to budget options, as most of the models are relatively cheap. They are mostly all cheaper than the models from iRobot. If I am shopping for a budget Eufy I am probably buying the Eufy 15C Max. The 15C Max still boast 2000 Pa suction, does well on hard floors and carpet, is WIFI enabled and is a great overall value

You can grab a Eufy 15C Max for under $250 right now. You won’t be disappointed in this budget model from Eufy.

Which Should You Buy – Eufy Vs Roomba

There is no question that Roomba has more high-performance options to choose from. You get a couple models that come with self-emptying dustbins, which is a huge win in my eyes. iRobot also has a better app then Eufy.

However, you are going to pay a lot more for most Roomba models.

Eufy has quality products, but they are still gaining name recognition. Their robots have good suction and handle most surfaces rather well. And you are going to save money, in most cases, when you select a Eufy over a Roomba.

You don’t get as many features and options when you go with Eufy. So it really comes down to what all you want or need in a robot vacuum.

I feel that both options can be great for your home. You aren’t going to buy a Eufy and soon realize it cannot pick up dirt. Likewise, you are going to be happy with any model you buy from Roomba, in my experience.
